Season Transition: Late Summer Color Palette

One of our favorite things about season transitions is playing with a new color palettes! We’ve been loving tones of ochre, golden, and red-orange hues paired with neutrals like metallics, black, and white. This striped Trista Top just came in a couple days ago and we love it paired with these super hi-rise Rusty Fiora Jeans and the Kimono Clutch in Deco. These colors feel like a perfect transition from late summer to early fall! 

We're loving this light and bright summer look featuring Sarah Bibb’s Silversmith Hez Tee and Manzanita Lauren Cardigan for when you need just a little something over your shoulders. This Manzanita fabric is the perfect weight for a cool summer morning or beach-side breeze, and this black and white stripe is easy and neutral enough to throw over just about any outfit. 

Sarah Bibb’s new Tina Dress in Dex Dot is a great piece that’s almost seasonless and this fabric has a lot of great accent colors you can play off of like the light peach, coral, cobalt, and lavender dots. Pair it with our Rusty Branch Mini Obi Belt and Tera Cotta Seed Bead Earrings to draw out that burnt coral color and make the outfit complete. You can even match your slip since we have some Alice Ivory and Coral Slips on sale in-store! 

Another great transition color we’re excited about this year is teal! Sarah Bibb’s newest Jamie Dress in Montage is a perfect way to introduce happy, bright colors in your wardrobe that can easily transform into a more fall look with some tights and boots. This print is amazing because it has a good mix of bright and more subdued hues, and the print is small enough that it kind of creates a tiled type of feel. Very flattering and of course super comfortable and practical! 

We love summer as much as any Portlander, but I gotta say, we’re starting to get a little excited for fall fashion. I have been wearing boots almost every day with summer dresses! Introducing some of these colors into your wardrobe is a nice way to ease into late summer and embrace the season transition!

Have Fun with Accessories! We’ve Got Summer Bags and New Jewelry!

Looking for a cute summer tote or weekend getaway bag? We’ve got just the thing! Stay Cool & Cute in Our Versatile Summer Tops!

Need a refresh on dressier tops that are versatile enough to wear for work or casually on the weekends? We have just the thing! Styling Summer Dresses: Dress Them Up for a Wedding & Down for Brunch!

We have so many pretty dresses for these sunny summer days and we want you to be able to get the most mileage out of them so here are some style tips to transform them from dressy to casual in a moments notice! Don’t be afraid to wear that dress that makes you feel glamorous out to Sunday brunch or even to the farmer’s market just by adding a denim jacket, a simple metallic sandal or some cute casual sneakers, and a pair of little stud earrings.

Style the same dress for a more sophisticated event with an Obi belt, a pair of heels, and a longer earring or necklace and you’re on your way just like that! The Pasha and Venus Dresses are so perfect for easy transformations like these! The Fiona is also very friendly for dressing up or down and super lightweight for summer!

The Last of the HYLA Reversible Wrap

Summer is nearly here! It's been so warm here in Portland the past few weeks I can hardly believe it. I've been waking up every morning to a new surprise in my backyard garden! Roses, veggies, irises...spring has really sprung! Now that mothers day is over it's time to treat yourself ladies! I know plenty of you got Folly Gift Cards! ♥

Favorite Warm Weather Basics...From $25-$125!

April is halfway over! Eek! I can't believe how fast this year is FLYING by! Have you gotten ready for summer yet? It's going to be a warm one! Luckily I have Folly at my fingertips. The amazing, magical, do-everything Vickie tunic!

Oh the Vickie. How could you need anything more? This is such a versatile tunic dress. It's so soft it's probably a crime...Feels like wearing your softest PJ's in public! But wow do you look great! My little folk, wear it as a super simple mini dress! Let those legs free while it's still warm outside! Then pair with some opaque tights or leggings in the fall. Solids and Stripes

Some of our current favorites in the store all happen to be solids or stripes in the softest of fabrics, and they all happen to made in the USA. Three dots make garments that are simple with just a little twist to make them unique, like their A-Line stripe skirt that can be worn with the stripes going vertically or you can turn the skirt and all of a sudden you get a chevron print. Wilt is another brand that we love who has mastered the ability of making their garments fitted and loose all at once. They make great basics with a bit of an edge. Then there is M. Rena who makes the best one size fits all camisoles and our favorite summer staple the Babydoll Cami dress. This Week on Outfits of the Week...Pensive Plotting

Obviously things between the Manic Mannies and I have been rocky ever since I dropped Stella Number 1 a few weeks ago, which was totally an accident...or was it? Anyways...I probably shouldn't talk about the dropping of Stella anymore. Whenever it's brought up she comes up with new ways of punishing me.

The latest punishment happened when I bought my new Fifteen-Twenty Jumpsuit. I was sooooo happy with my new purchase. I frolicked all around Folly feeling super fresh and oddly tall for only being 5'2". I even had Kate try one on and we were jumpsuit twinsies for a day. I mean look at that face! That is the face of happiness. I was feeling good in my new outfit (which I will be living in)!

UNTIL Stella rained on my parade. Stella out of sheer evilness, demanded me to dress Stella Number 4 in my exact same outfit. She also made me change! The nerve. If she had eyes I would've clawed them out! Needless to say I was not a happy camper with how things went down, but I still have the freshest jumpsuit this season! :)
