Best of the City! Portland Monthly Featured Sarah Bibb and Other WONDERFUL Portland Fashion Designers!

Sarah is so excited to be a part of Portland Monthly's Best of the City!

Portland Monthly Style Editor Eden Dawn put together a great group of some of Portland's most celebrated fashion designers. We are SO lucky to live in a city where artists are encouraged to create their own businesses and lines. But of course, being a small business owner can be difficult! Recognizing the hard work that goes into each of these people's businesses is so important. When you take into account the amount of care and effort that goes into each and every garment they create, there's no way to take these amazing artists for granted. Remember to support your local artists so that we can continue to keep Portland Special!

And thank YOU for continuing to be a Folly Girl!

New Styles by Sarah Bibb for Spring!

We have some early Spring arrivals at Folly! Sarah has been working extra hard on making new designs that have that extra special something. This year's new styles will have pretty, well thought out details. Only in the prettiest fabrics of course!

Introducing... The Anca Skirt and the Melanie Top
The Anca skirt is a full and easy chiffon skirt. Perfect for twirling!
So adorable with leggings and booties...and she'll be even better in sandal weather!

The Melanie Top is an easy blousey top with gorgeous details!
The sleeve has beautiful detail stitching. Drapes so perfectly.
Perfect tucked into a skirt, with your favorite jeans, or a cute skinny pant.

The Anca Skirt is also adorable paired with our classic Caroline Tee!

We also got some adorable pieces from THML
Check it out! Springy and cute, this embroidered yoke top is so cute tucked into a full skirt,
(like the Anca!) paired with jeans or your favorite summer pants.

And last but not least...This adorable denim button down dress!
So cute for Fall and Winter...bundled up with fleece lined tights and a big comfy cardi.
So cute for Spring and Summer too! Just roll up your sleeves and slip on your favorite sandals!

Keep checking the Blog for new Spring things! It's that time of year!

Limited Edition Hand Dyed Slips Made in Portland!

Sarah Bibb is famous for her slips. Walk into Anthropologie or Nordstrom's looking for one, and they will send you straight to Folly! We make our slips right here in Oregon. Each slip is made from fabric milled in the USA, and then hand dyed and cut by Sarah Bibb herself. Then she hands them over to Ying, our wonderful sewer! We love having a little Folly Family of makers.

We only made an EXTREMELY limited run...which means there may only be ONE of your size in the color you want! Snatch up these beauties quick!

The True Cost

Here at Folly we tell people everyday that Sarah Bibb's line is made ethically, here in America, at a true living wage.

Have you seen the trailer for the documentary The True Cost? It explores the truth behind your cheap, and even not-so-cheap mass manufactured clothing! Made in the USA makes a huge difference.

The True Cost

Do you really want jeans made by workers making less than FIVE DOLLARS a day?! All while being beaten by their managers and working in awful and dangerous conditions...Think about it.

Sarah Bibb cares about where her clothes are coming from. That's why she manufactures right here in Portland, Oregon with staff that she takes amazing care of! (Trust me, I would know!!!)

Sarah Bibb's slips are so perfect. They feel amazing, they are beautiful, and they will make your favorite dresses fit like a dream. Slips! They are meant to be slippery! Skip the Spanx. These are just the thing to put a little bit between you and your dress. So gorgeous with the most beautiful lace trim and perfect fits that cater to every body type.
