I'm here today to talk about gifts.

I love getting gifts, and I love giving them even more! Sometimes it's the best gift of all to see your loved one open something you know they're going to LOVE. 

But sometimes gift giving is hard! And some people are hard to buy gifts for... 

Don't know what to give your family or friends this holiday season? Don't worry, Folly's here to make it easy.

When people come in shopping for gifts, we like to steer them towards accessories first! 

Why? Because unless they know the exact size, the desired fit, and the fashion interests of the person they're shopping for, it can make it hard for us to recommend the right clothes.

Sorry husbands but you gotta give us something to work with other than "she likes shirts".

 

So when someone comes in looking for a gift- we start by asking questions about the person you're shopping for, and creating a personalized gift bundle! A gift bundle at Folly is a group of accessories that are all connected to each other in some way, usually by color!

Using the photo above for example: You tell us the person your shopping for loves blue; we would pick out some items like the ones above that all speak to each other!

You could buy 1 blue nail polish and call it good... but at Folly we want to help you find the perfect present, not product, to give.

Simply pick and choose 2-4 items of your choosing from the above bundle photo, and BAM! You have now elevated your gift from simple to thoughtful.

By incorporating a color theme into your gifts, it makes them appear more elevated and put together.

The best part about gift bundles is that they can work with nearly any budget. We have $12 socks in a wide variety of fun and cute prints, making them a perfect addition to any bundle.

Stay Cozy in these Cute Basics!

Hello December! It’s chilly outside! We’ve got tons of cute basics and accessories perfect for Portland’s winter chill. Snuggle up with these cold weather accessories:

These are sewn up right in our shop using our favorite fabrics to keep you warm and fashionable. If you don’t typically go for a bold print these can be a great way to incorporate a little more fun into your wardrobe since it’s such a small amount of print. They also make great gifts for just about anyone!

Looking for more of a blanket scarf style? These Biggie Scarves are so nice to wrap around you like a shawl or wear as a chunky scarf on chilly days. New Arrivals Are Here! We’re Loaded with Everything from Fall Basics to Holiday Dresses!

Let’s talk about fall basics! This Bez Sweater is so soft and pretty, and will carry you well into winter. This top is perfect for throwing on with some black jeans, a little bootie, and a necklace for an outfit that is great for work and going out to grab dinner or a drink afterward! 

The Sue Sweater is Bez’s cousin since its the same cozy material but in a tunic length in a beautiful emerald green. I love this color for fall and winter! Come See Us For New Fall Treats! We've Got Cozy Accessories and Perfect Basics!

Fall is officially in the air and we’ve got so many cute new arrivals! Come by and find a cozy treat for you and your bff! 

We just got in some new prints of our favorite Thunderpants, which make for an easy and affordable gift. They are made in Portland from organic cotton and once you try them you might just fall in love with how comfortable and cute they are! I have a pair of the hi-rise bananas and they are perfect for lounging or sleeping in, and they pair nicely with our striped Babe Tee to make an adorable lounge set. 

   

   

Another couple great gifting items are our fingerless gloves and beanies! Who doesn’t love a good hat and glove combo?! Stay cozy on these chilly fall days with these accessories!

You might remember these basic turtlenecks from last year. We loved them so much we brought them back again this season!
